Technical Writer

The applicant would be involved in planning, writing, editing, reviewing, revising and indexing documents. Further, the applicant would be involved in creating graphics (piping and instrumentation drawings, engineering drawings), through final printing and production and delivery to client. The following lists the different types of documents that would be involved:

  • FDA documentation
  • Engineering project reports and proposals including requests for proposals
  • Software and user manuals
  • Medical image processing toolkit documentation and computer software and hardware installation and configuration procedures
  • Security and administration standards and procedures
  • Process descriptions, equipment and process control loop specifications and operating and safety guides
  • Annual and administrative reports including recruiting information and job descriptions
  • Assistance in departmental administrative tasks.

The applicant must be well conversant with spreadsheets and word processing on MS Office and drawings using MS Visio. Some experience with writing technical reports on image processing tools is desirable. Experience with a medical instrument company and FDA filing is an asset.

Educational Qualifications: Candidate must hold an Associate degree with 4-5 years of technical writing experience or a Bachelor's degree with 2-3 years of technical writing experience.
