Medical Imaging Scientist
Eigen located in California is seeking a full time medical imaging scientist - a candidate who is self motivated and a very good team player and has ability to work in research and product development environments in industry while in collaborations with University Hospitals or Clinical environments.
Education Requirements/Experience:
"MS or PhD in EE or CS or Biomedical Engineering with good industry experience in Medical Imaging Software Design and Development". 7 years experience for candidates with M.S. degree and 2-5 years experience for candidates with Ph.D. degree.
Computer Skills:
Strong knowledge about Object Oriented Programming, Visual C++, C++, COM, Active X, Visualization Guru on PC, strong MFC fundamentals, Linux, ITK/VTK, GUI/QT Development, threading, concurrent processing, image and surface rendering using DirectX. Experience with DICOM a must; Ability to write images in DICOM, read images in DICOM; read/write image volumes and other information in DICOM; familiar with XML, .net, C#; GPU programming a plus.
Background Experience in Computer Vision is a PLUS:
Experience in Pattern Recognition, Statistical Techniques, Segmentation, Registration, Navigation, Tracking, Transformation of Coordinates, 3D graphics is a plus. Experience in GPU processing is a plus too. Experience with various medical image modalities such as ultrasound, CT and MRI desired.
Salary Range:
